What We Do:
Institute for Families provides consultation and therapy for families whose child is suffering from a devastating illness. Our goal is to meet families soon after they receive the diagnosis, either in person or over the telephone. We provide nationwide assistance and understand the importance of reaching out to families during this difficult time, wherever they might be.
Institute for Families is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All of our services are provided at no cost to families and professionals, with funding provided by private donations. No federal funding is given.

IFF Expands Staff
IFF is proud to announce two new Child and Family Specialists who have joined our organization, Elva Tamashiro and Paula Denney. Both Elva and Paula have been providing counseling services to families whose child has been diagnosed with a serious illness since January 2011. Their previous experiences working with IFF's founder, Nancy Mansfield, have allowed them to step in to very critical roles to support the on-going mission of the Institute.
